Texas Real Estate at Eagle Mountain Lake & Lake Worth

Eagle Mountain Lake was impounded in 1932 as a municipal water supply. The 8,738 acre lake is located just 26 miles west of downtown Fort Worth. Home of the Fort Worth Boat Club, Eagle Mountain has become a regular stop on the Texas yacht racing agenda with many regattas scheduled. The lake itself is hilly, treed and not heavily developed. The water is very clear for an inland lake. Waterfront property ownership with private boat docks is the norm and the 60 miles of shoreline provides ample room for expansion. You can enjoy all popular water sports just outside the back door of your waterfront home or weekender. Eagle Mountain offers fishing for most species of Texas Game Fish with the exception of Striped and Hybrid Bass.

Lake Worth was impounded in 1914 as a municipal water supply and is operated by the City of Fort Worth. This 3,489 acre lake is in the City of Fort Worth city limits on the West Fork of the Trinity River just 6 miles northwest of downtown Fort Worth. The City of Ft. Worth has approved the Lake Worth Dredging Project to improve Lake Worth and the Surrounding Area. Lake Worth offers fishing for most species of Texas Game Fish with the exception of Striped and Hybrid Bass.
