was impounded in 1932 as a municipal water supply. The 8,738
acre lake is located just 26 miles west of downtown Fort Worth. Home of the
Fort Worth Boat Club,

many regattas scheduled. The lake itself is hilly, treed and not heavily developed.

This 3,489 acre lake is in the City of Fort Worth city limits on the West Fork of the
Trinity River just 6 miles northwest of downtown Fort Worth. The City of Ft. Worth has
approved the
Lake Worth Dredging Project
to improve Lake Worth and the Surrounding Area. Lake Worth offers fishing for most species
of Texas Game Fish with the exception of Striped and Hybrid Bass.
